Nice bloke who runs the yellow crabbing boat> I have had a few chats with him at the ramp or Servo when he fills up, I will give him a thanks for returning wardys pot. That's the sort of people we want to be supporting in the commercial fishery. Get rid of the Cowboys and reward the guys who do the right thing

some of the pros try to do the right thing some dont i know if you put your pots to close to one pro crabber in the cabbage tree point area he will cut your floats off and if you see a branch hanging out over the water you will sometimes see a rope hanging down into the water all covered with slime so its hard to see and if you wait till high tide along comes the pro and checks them no markings on them i sat about 400 yards and watched threw binoculars so next time iam out and i see any i will ring the fisheries to come and watch

    G'day

If there's a pot attached to this with all the owners details, then that's completely legal.

Brown ropes and clear plastic tags tied to trees will keep most crab thieves out of your pots as long as they are secured well to keep the fisheries happy

    Re: Cunning crabbers

if tied to a tree, MUST have a tag with owners name above the high water mark, as well as details on pot

He is a funny one me 4 mates camping on popular beach spot one long weekend we had our pots out and in full sight from camp sight we went fishing for jew and upon returning to camp about 1:00 am we notice guy in tinny in full stealth cruising around our pots. We switch all lights on our boat off and just watched this grub for about 30mins. This grub pulled nearly every pot in the area and to make it worse he was camped 3 sites down frim us. Next day we hatch a plan to teach this grub a lesson that night he is of at midnight again on another raid we waited till he returned once we sore his lights go out we entered water and removed his prop and pegged it out into the middle of the river. Next morning we told the other groups around us what we had done and why to make sure no help was given to this grub. Revenge was not only sweet but f $#kin hilarious. He comes over to us to tell what has happened and I reply with yeh must have been the same prick who raided our pots lmfao. Never have I laughed so hard watching this grub reving the shit out of his motor trying to work out why he isn't moving. Pay back is a bitch

Now that I have your attention, are you a school principal or English teacher.
My wife was a Teacher Aide/ Librarian for 20 years, so we met some quirky people over the years. ( not saying your quirky). Just saying.
Please feel free to punctuate for me.
    Cheers

Nah mate sorry.... No teacher.... I can barely spell... If it wasn't for the iPhone fixing (and sometimes fecking) my spelling, I would be up the creek without a paddle.

I just like sentences in paragraphs. Easier to read, that's all.
