TOP Jack Zane...now THAT is one to tell all the kids at school about....they dont get much better.
Not bad for someone who was being kept "occupied".
Cheers, Ray
took a good mate and his little boy Zane fishing tonight for giant herring, they were a bit quiet given the nice conditions. Zane has a bream attack and kill his live mullet and winds it in with the head missing.. I reposition the hook and it gets thrown out dead (more to keep him occupied getting a few bites..
With the rod in the holder about 5 mins later the little rod starts peeling off a sizeable run and we think he is onto a good herring.. 15mins later on 8lb line and 20lb leader we are all stunned to see a good sized Jack materialize into view. Damn forgot the landing net.. lucky its exhausted and im able to get some lipgrips in its mouth and secure Zanys best fish ever!! Was just awesome to see the look on his face. pretty cool capture in anyones book i say.
dont knock on deaths door... ring the doorbell and run... death hates that!!

Nathank,
Good to see Zane land a nice Jack. The smile on his dial says it all.
That's the biggest Mangrove Jack I've seen so far, well done. Would have been going like the clappers.
