I got my fishing boat! the trade off!

Well I managed to convince the wife to let me get my boat, the trade off is she is hell bent on a spray dodger for the bow area, to offer more shade for her and the kids ( I agree, well kind of )

Below is a pic of my pride and joy, currently en route from the USA, and also a pic of the bow seating arrangement. and a couple of some dodger examples of what im chasing.

Im looking for a recommended trimmer in the Brisbane area to work with me on a design for the spray dodger. Are there any members out there with spray dodgers on their centre consoles? would love some input (pic's if you have any) on the pro's and con's of a spray dodger.

Here are a few examples of what I'm chasing.

Hmmm .... I can see a sunbrella beach umbrella doing the job when stationary . Guess it depends how wet the boat is underway? and conditions the wife and kids go out with you in. I know the rules - if she wants it I 'll buy it as it is the easy option. Gotta have the one that lets the air through tall enough to sit under properly and possibly big enough to stay dry on a overnighter?

Happy wife - you have a life.

have seen CC with " Wings " on the console that fold out ( stainless frame covered in stainless or lexan and give more spray and wind protection when have guests and extra fold out seats with handgrips on back at consoles to get everyone safe , comfortable and enjoy the ride.

Yanks think of everything - here is interesting concept - goes bow or stern

Ray Wessels from Rays Canvas & Marine is one of the best and most innovative guys in the game. Located just near the Bribie turnoff, but well worth the drive.
Note to self: Don't argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience....
