It will actually be competitively priced against any comparable boat including those being imported from the US - just better designed and backed by a local builder :-)

This is the 1st section of the front casting deck which will feature great dry storage space and will include gas strut hinges on the lids ...

Hi there Scott this is a good thread your putting up ,it really show hows much work and thought that goes into building a boat with the different molds taken to build the internal tubs for the fit out,a lot of work and skill has gone into the front deck as i can see that the hinges are recessed for the lids, very nice, cheers chris.

Chris - the team have addressed every concern & wish I have had in designing this new sportfishing machine ! It is also the 1st time the Haines Group have allowed their R&D to be shown through out a complete build. The attention to detail and quality materials is what sets the Haines Group apart .Blake & the team have now been working on the deck plug & front casting decks for over three months - It's now all in the molding stages and we only have the console to finish the design on .. Exciting times !

I'm going to be away now until next Tuesday - fishing so will catch up again when I get back.

The team at The Haines Group build custom steel frames over their molds to increase strength and durability of each mold ...

It is truly an amazing process to be apart of and watch as it all takes shape !

They use an orange/red tooling gel coat on the mold in order to show clear separation/detail when working with the standard gel coat colours on the finished boats.

Thanks for showing that Scott,it would have been fun sparying that mold with the chopper gun and rolling it out with all those under deck compartments,it not strait foward these days more complicated shapes these days.

Your right Chris - I didn't realise the work/time/money that goes into designing a complete boat from scratch - It is great to see a local company like The Haines Group committed to building a custom sportfishing machine that will rival any comparable boat in it's class as well

    Bring it on - Scotto

    Great stuff mate.
    Very interesting following the process.
Now I know why my pissy little fibreglassing jobs take so long.
Will it be on the water for a huge Christmas present for you ?
Thanks for the story whether some people like it or not with the reference to Haines. Great to see an Aussie company in action.

    cheers Dave
