    North Stradbroke Island Land Based

    Gday,

Just after some info as I'm off to North Straddie this weekend. We will be camping at Cylinder and doing some beach fishing.

Anywhere in particular to chase whiting, flatties, breambos etc? Can you pump yabbies somewhere or is there a wormer on the island/shop that sells worms?

    Any info would be appreciated.

    Cheers Dean

Fresh worms are occasionally available at the amity shop or the general shop as you head out of dunwich. Used to be a guy on the corner of George nothling drive and tramican but hasn't been there for years. Most shops sell frozen worms and other bait. Yabbies can be pumped north of dunwich. Most of the fish to seek can be caught of the rocks at cylinders. Also home beach on the western side of the pub is not too bad. Maybe fish your way around the rocks to home beach and stop at the pub for a coldy and awesome view on way back to cylinders.
