Coating Day

Hi all,

Well the time has come to do a coating day. Stuart and I have been in contact and decided that we should do it at my place because I have 2 lathes and 2 drying racks ready to go and more importantly I have a large cold room to put all the beer in and its only 10 paces from the rod building tables.
We have decided that we will hold this on the 14th of September, please reply to this post if you intend to come.
I will have a few rods ready for coating and have all the gear required except for brushes so please bring your own.

If you have a rod that you want coated then bring it along. I would also like to show you guys a few things when binding that will help in giving you that great looking epoxy finish.

A good clean binding is the foundation of a good quality epoxy job, get that right and your 70% on your way. The more rods we have to coat the more you can learn.

You will need brushes in sizes 4 through to at least a 10. We will need to get in and do this rather than standing around shooting the breeze, thats my job, besides someone has to drink the piss.
