    Tinka Boat Trailer Set Up

Just after any info on setting up a boat trailer

I just purchased a Tinka MT230 multi roller trailer and going to put a Haines Hunter 680SF on it.

My question is, does anyone have the same trailer/boat set up and if so just after some measurements from the rear rollers to rear axle so I can get the right weight on the tow ball and also the height measurements of the roller carriers?

Any info would be much appreciated.

    Cheers

Don't have my 680SF any more but looking at the old photos, the rearmost edge of my back tyres seem about in line with the SF on the main rear HH decal. From memory I wouldn't go any more forward with the axles than that. If your tow vehicle can handle it you will ideally want around 250KG on the ball, but you could go a bit less. It's not all that hard to move it after the boat is on, I have just loosened off the u-bolts well and used a small hand ratchet winch to drag the axle assembly against the main trailer frame watching it doesn't jam on the u-bolts as you go.
There is a relatively cheap towball scale available too now from places like Probar if you want to get it right without multiple trips to a weigh bridge.
Nice boat too by the way, I had many a great fishing trip and many hundreds of hours in mine.
