    pearlies

Am wanting to go out and catch a few pearl perch but havent done it before.. I have read a fair bit of info and have mainly found that they live in deepish water 60/70m plus and prefer wire weed.. but have no idea how to find it.. i have some gps points for the 36's east of the goldy is that a good place to start and do you just bomb patanoster rigs to the bottom with squid and pillies or is there better techniques?
    Cheers in advance.. Nathank.

    Re: pearlies

The 36's are a good place for Pearlies at times but I would suggest going to the SE 50 ftm line as there are a few big pearlies around at the moment. Pearlies are easy to spot on your sounder as they show up as a dense fish school just of the bottom. Use a 3 hook patanoster with squid and pillies, and pearlies hit hard but when hooked their just a dead weight to wind up.

TIP: Use lumo beads or tube on your rig.

They don't mind the lucanus jigs as well. Mo tackle had them on yesterday in all sizes for $10 each! If u get in quick this morning you might still be able to get them at that price.
