1770 report from last weekend

Just a quick one from last weekend.

Fished from Saturday morning until 11am Monday.
East of Wreck Island down to Boult reef.
Got a good feed of trout and tuskies and various other reefies.
Travelled 380km = 240l of fuel and about 3.5l of oil.
Didn't get to many photos from the trip without the deckies finger across the lense of the camera.
Got a nice trout and tusky on Barry's 2 once bright pink jigheads the rest of the fish were caught on ganged Petackle long shank hooks.

What boat and motor you got? that's awesome fuel economy! I konow being a glass out sea you don't use as much but it's still awesome. Did you get out to the shelf off wreck?

Hey Aaron its a 5.1m Aquamaster Abalone with a 90 etec on the back and we had more fuel in jerrys then I could hold in the tank.

We fished mainly from 40 to 70m and to be honest struggled most of the weekend to put fish in the box, I was talking to a mate on the way home that said that the shelf was fishing well last weekend.

It was to good, it was ruddy difficult to line up a drift. If you had the slightest forward momentum when you got to a mark then that was the direction you would drift. Most of Sunday the only movement on the water was from the whales going past.

Mate i"d get more ripples in the bath tub after letting one rip.
