Anyone heading offshore Ekka Wednesday ( Tomorrow ). I will most likely be pestering huthcies and the surrounds for the day. Ill be out in a big red stessl half cab 6.1m.

Yup i agree Crunchy. Northerlies suck for fishing for some reason.

I find northerlies to produce the best fishing, im yet to find a fish that can tell what the wind is blowing....

We had a tough day off straddie too, got some massive slimeys at the bait grounds, should have stayed there and loaded up for 1770. Put a few just legal snaps in the box off point lookout, and a moses, our liveys got harrassed but not eaten, a couple got taken but no hook up, no current to speak of either. Went over a lot of good show, but they just weren't hungry. Saw some guys getting nice GT's on the sevens on poppers, if only we had some of those on board, we may have had some fun.

1st time I've fished the bay for some time and we did all right. One particular moment whilst we were at anchor, old mate drifted past - could've poked him with a stick - then drifted through our lines at the back of the boat. Awesome day out and should've come here on Sunday instead of battling with raging current off the goldie.

the current was good eh Wags. We were humming along over 3 knots at one stage!!!

Followed bassmannn out for the day. I only got a 60cm stripey snapper and a venus tusk fish. Got 3 decent size slimeys so far for 1770.

Those dudes scored two good size GTs... Bust up everywhere.

Forgot to mention the whale I nearly run over. He was a few meters in front of me and went I stopped went past my boat, looked like I could have reached out and touched the bugger. Next time I need to bring spare undies out!
