    Noosa wide Saturday

Juna & I went wide with the forecast no where near as good as predicted. Ended up well, with snapper going 50,60,65 & PB of 72

It was rough early till about lunch time & then calmed a bit. All day the radio chatter was everyone complaining about how wrong the forecast was. There were heaps of boats logging on with Coastguard, many going off to DI for an overnighter. I think they would have got a wake up when they got wide.
Water still warm at 22 out wide.

yep did an overnighter off DI Saturday night forecast was a little off but still was an awesome night out! put up with the wind for a few hours. not much biting tho! greats show no results. bagged 2 10 kg dew, couple squire, 3 kg pearlie and couple stinky old trevally.. definitely a bad trip!
    congrats on the PB mate!
    cheers

Some great snaps there Tony. Well done. Forecast was spot on south of point lookout with near glassed out conditions all day. Pity the current had us drifting at 6kph which made it near impossible to fish.

    Re: Noosa wide Saturday

We were the opposite Macca. Little current but the wind was fairly pushing us along on the drift. Trying to fish lighter, but in 70m of water we had 140m out.

Floating down a jighead with a curly grub tail type thingy with half a pilly.

Its the closest I've come to using soft plastics, but did the job.

    Re: Noosa wide Saturday

Well well well....Tony is slowly trying the soft plastics. hahahaha...never thought I'd see the day. Gold star for giving it a go mate ;-). Good job on the PB snapper. You deserve it !!! I fished sunshine with some guys I was filming for the DVD and they caught 2 x 3kg snapper, 3 x 2kg snapper and a couple of smaller ones along with some tusks drifting soft plastics. Choppy in the morning but glassy by 10.30am
