Went out yesterday arvo with two mates, hit the water around 530pm was almost dark.
Drifted a few plastics at Harrys in the dark and my mate got two Jewies one 87, one 81cm in consecutive drifts. Got steamrolled by another one on the next drift and snapped him.
Ended up anchoring up as the tide started to go out and managed one 65cm snap and another 55cm one in cracking night conditions. Missed a few others on bait then packed it in as the northerly started to pick up a touch. Ended up being the second last boat out there to leave.
Back at the ramp around 11:30pm and spent most of this morning filleting the fish and cleaning up the gear.
Caught the Jewies on 3/8oz jigheads from Bazza, cheers again.
Glad to boat a few before the ramps and reefs get hammered this wekeend and next week!
Nice fish and report Dan. Will have to work 24/7 soon as the jigheads are getting very popular.
Just prepared the next batch of 150 for sealing with the rod binding two pack tomorrow morning but they won't last too long
