    Help !! false floors for my tinny

    having trouble making a false floor at the bow of my boat..
    thought it would be easier than this grrr need a bit of help

    any hits or tips anyone has would be great..

    because of the all the different convex curves? I'd use multiple smaller panels or lift the floor up to get a larger panel in.

    otherwise you'd be better off explaining what the problem is

    what boat is it?
    i made mine from one peice of ply. carpeted . it sides on the stringers with folding seat legs as support in the centre

    Im going to assume its an open tinny bench seat at the front bench seat at the back? possibly an anchor well at the front under the bow? If so bolt some 50x50x3mm thick aluminium angle to the front of the front bench seat say 21mm down from the top of the seat this will allow for 19mm ply and an extra 2mm for carpet. work out the height in the anchor well wall do the same thing 50x50x3mm angle bolt it to the wall then spend the time measuring and cutting out your timber floor if you cant measure and mark up plans for it get some old cardboard and cut at that until your happy with a fit then transfer it to timber.

    Hi LackyB i have install split floors in my tinnie.
    lower one inbetween the seats and higher one in front of the 1st seat.
    have enclosed a photo, pls let me know if you want more detail.
