    Which Sounder/GPS

The decision has been made. I am powering towards buying a new boat (after too many years of fishing in other peoples boats after selling my last one). Boat is decided on, just sorting out the details on that purchase. Now my attention turns to fitting it out. It will be a 4.35m side console used for fishing the rivers, creeks, canals and trips out in the bay when conditions permit - scarbie reef and surrounds etc.

I am seeking advice/opinions on which sounder/gps unit I should get. I like the idea of a side imaging or 3D type sounder (ohh how I wish I had one of those when fishing the dams in NSW). I am not afraid of having separate sounder/gps units either. They will probably have to be mounted on RAM brackets (haven't had a full look at the console yet so making an assumption here). I am also not over endowed with cash....so understand that compromises will have to be made.

    Any input appreciated.

    Cheers

Sounds like the Raymarine Dragonfly would suit your needs.

I don't have one yet but looking into it in the future,

LeeLee was selling a Gen2 HDS unit with all the goodies for a pretty good price. Don't know if it has sold but might be worth a PM.
