Luderick on green weed and using a float or big bream on flesh baits or good old chicken or mullet gut.
never caught a luderick so theres a challenge
also which tide in or out? also around what time hr either side of the tide?
Watch out for the wake from the gin palaces and knobs doing 40 knots just because they can. Also there is a big eddy off the NE on the runout tide.
big eddy??? and yea thinking one time ill actually wear the life jacket lol
Kingys off the NE corner...
what baits / lures should i use for kingys

Hi Nath
Have a look at the pic
You might do worse than paddling down from Pacific Park (south of the marina top left of pic) and head east then follow the weed SE along the middle sand bar towards the weed north of the north of Wavebreak Island.
Then you keep out of the way of much of the traffic. Don't mind the 40 footers you might get invited for a drink if you in the right place at the right time.
Cheers

What could go wrong.......................
thanks chimo so pretty much start at the park paddle acRoss and follow the island round . anywhere local i can get some livies? i got a castnet
hmm thinking paddle across beach the kayak then walk along the rock wall to do king fishing :-)
That wall is only good on the incoming tide.
the kingies will bust up for very short periods of time 10 to 20 secs.. and can be anywhere down the north east corner to back on the sandflats and sometimes over the pipes.. they will generally take a small slug or popper cast right into the bust up and mostly they wont.. frustrating little buggers..
dont knock on deaths door... ring the doorbell and run... death hates that!!
I got a small kingy on a yabbie at that spot one time. Went bloody hard. Thought I had a HUUUUUge bream lol.
