New to the area and headed out solo off Southport on saturday.
Fishing between 30-45m of water I was plagued by undersize snapper up to around 30cm, could not pull a single legal. I could see big schools hugging the bottom on most of the bits of hard bottom I went to.
It was an awesome day on the water and good to see lots of juvenile fish but a couple of keepers would have been nice. Maybe I should head a little wider next time.
Did any of the other guys who fished out there manage to find some better fish?
