Not sure how current this information is given it is an old thread but interesting and in particularly post 9. If it still current, it goes to the same place for any warranty work as any Australian bought Furuno.

I personally don't know either. FWIW my brother has been a commercial cray fisherman for 30+ years and has never had a Furuno that needed any warranty work over that period.

Yep so nothing has changed from the link I posted - still send to the same place as Australian bought Furuno. Furuno then authorises JN Taylor to perform the warranty work and all is good.
