Re: Arno Bay for Christmas !!!!
Just the one at the moment. There for a week and will be renting a house of Ash also so once he confirms the booking with us I can confirm things. Either way myself and a close mate will be going out and only want 4 on the trip so may have two spots. Will be a good day if anything like last time..Looking between the 30th Dec to 2nd Jan for the charter...

Re: Arno Bay for Christmas !!!!
Yeah, long drive. We tend to make a road trip out of it. Take the kids to Dubbo Zoo for a day. Do a bit of bush camping which we dont do much of, usually on the beach camping. Will be spending a few day camping around Streaky bay area, my wif egrew up around that area and knows some cracking fishing, camping spots.
Just hoping the young fella doest have flashbacks over our last trip down there. Some people had a big fire one night and just covered it very poorly with sand. Cut a long story short the young fella, 2.5yrs at the time, stood right in it. Burnt the absolute crap out of his feet up to his ankles, no phone reception and a very fast drive by 4by with a horrifiying screams from my boy all the way to Streaky bay hospital. About 30mins. Then a trip off to the adelaide burns unit where we stayed for a few weeks. (after me driving all the way bck to camp to pack up and have a few words with the idiots who covered it with sand)
You think you have troubles, go and spend some time in a kids burn ward. Most moving and emotional time of my life. Because of his age, the wife and me tagged teamed staying in the burns ward for a couple weeks until he could be transferred closer to home being Byron Bay.
Will keep you posted if we change our minds and extend the fishing but wont make that call until we probably get there.
