Harry Atkinsons????

Was looking through the B2B today (am fairly new to fishing) and was looking at possible routes the Rouse to chase the whiting that have been posted about. Noticed the Harry Atkinson Artificial Reef is on the way if I go from Manly and past St Helena. Is this the place that I've read a lot of people posting about and calling it Harries???? Sounds odd but I always assumed people were talking about Harries as a place outside. Is it worth a look for some snapper and reefies on plastics??? - Cheers mbn

Yep that's the one called Harries. I have personally caught snapper on plastics at anchor so it can be done. You usually can't drift through there on weekends as there are usually too many boats at anchor. Because I always seem to catch more fish drifting with plastics I drift downstream away from the crowds that anchor right on it. There is quite good ground all around that area and the bait boys anchored there can be your allies if you find their burley trail...
