    last hurrah

hi all. today was my last weekday fishing for a while. please don't be too upset as i am sufficiently upset already.

left wello just after 5am with ray (solemandownunder) playing tagalong. did the first drift on the eastern side in the dark for nothing and a shorter second drift before heading for the nw out of the swell. we were near the end of the first drift when i got "the hit" and had a relatively short fight to land a 74. i say "the hit" as the rest of the day till 4pm was a non event. less exciting captures included a couple of small flathead, a foul-hooked trumpeter, a couple of small tailor and mandatory 3 grinners.
weather couldn't make up it's mind. breezy, calm, rainy, hot - we got a dose of all varieties. have some video of the snap coming up which i will post as soon as i figure out how to rotate the damn thing 90 degrees...

    cheers
oh, and see ya's out there - on the weekends

Least ya went out in some sort of style M8

Zero for me, BUT, as all the other snaps I have caught have been on deadstick....I have become a lazy fisherman

Must admit Dave, you work VERY hard with the rod...so you deserve to get a feed. Wore me out just WATCHIN' you

btw...could'nt keep up with your technology, so just did me own thing in shitty conditions.

Still, as Slim sings...." A bad days fishin' beats a good days' work everytime ".
