They're already on wire Bondy so tie directly to your main line. From memory you are using 25lb main - considerably heavier than the 15lb mono casting leader I use attached to 9lb mono main. Casting distance is hugely better with the lighter line, sweep influence dramatically less and a 15lb casting leader is only to prevent casting lures off. Tailor have all their weaponry in their mouth and leaders as such are not required when there is a short length of wire or even no wire with 'attached hook' slugs.
Never use snap lock swivels to attach the Sliders, or other slug varieties rigged with wire or mono trace - they only provide tailor other than the one hooked something to target and they are extremely good at releasing their mate by biting through the main attached to your snap lock swivel. That's why the swivel supplied with the Sliders is a small black swivel that doesn't shine and provide a target.
Worth noting that the tailor being targeted at this time of year are on a northern spawning migration and tend not to like fast retrievals. Over a rocky bottom in particular, the best way to induce strikes from these fish is to retrieve quickly for 10 or 15 metres and then pause for a second or two. The tailor will hit on the pause and the slug doesn't sink during a brief pause.
Stopped making the Sliders Bondy - worried that they might diminish tailor pops too much
