Gamin 400c

Hi all
my gamin 400c takes ages to start after not using for a week or so when no power has been connected to it is this normal

My Garmin 350C does the same thing. Go to turn it on and no beep or nothing. Try 3 or 4 times and beep, on it comes.

thanks but i found the prob the sounder has tobe connected to the battery for awhile to keep it in stand by mode all good now

Yep, i switch off my main switch, so the sounder has no power fed to it. Maybe i will leav the switch on one day so the sounder has power but is switched off on the unit only. I would think there is a capacitator that discharges after a while with no power. And after the power is supplied to the uiit, it takes a 10 sec r so to charge this cap to abe the unit to start.
