    Tailor on chew - Goldie

Thurs night took a friend's son for tailor session in the surf.
Great gutter down Currumbin way, but LOTS of seaweed and flotsam with strong sweep made me doubtful of our chances. Good ol' SAffa/Kiwi grapnel sinkers were the only way to keep baits in the gutter ..... within 5 minutes the bite was ON
Josh got his 1st Tailor ever - coming in at 62cm ! So to say he was wrapped would be an understatement
We managed 5 nice fat specimens before calling it a night with the fish still biting (I only took my usual 10 pillies)
(excuse the hack-marks on the greenback ... josh had tried to break it's neck with no idea to use a knife first ... he'll learn soon enough)
Great weekend weather, so will be hitting them again

Thanks for the report, hopefully the beaches start to fire up. A good positive result.

Good things come to those who bait
