    New Rod building table

Well I have been a little quiet lately but there is good reason for this, I have had my head down and arse up building a new rod building table and drying cabinet. The bottom is all 316 stainless an the top cabinet is aluminium and plexiglas covers. The bench to is 40mm ply. Now I can get back to building rod

    Cheers

No fridge but there is a 12 cubic meter cold room right behind the top right picture.

Looks awesome. Just needs some of those those dangly green curtains you see on pool table lights!

The colour scheme sucks! Where are all the soothing subtle blue walls and the LED television to watch QLD finally get beaten. You need somewhere to hide and sulk and think about next year (like I have for the last 7).

Just kidding. Wish mine was half as good.

Not bad for a novice.........just kidding mate, a bloody good job.
As Stu mentioned, you will be standing only for that setup.
I was always going to modify my little bench to have a foot rail underneath with a toe rail that would work the speed control, but never got around to it. One thing i really hate is having to chase the foot pedal every guide.

    Stu,
You don't put your legs underneath but I do have a swivel bar chair that is perfect, maybe its just what I am used to.

    Re: New Rod building table

Im use to having my legs underneath much the same as an office chair. I have sat at lathes like yours but they do my back and legs in fairly fast.
Im trying to work out how I can use a bean bag or deck chair, man that would be great.

I hear ya Stu would be good but I find if I stand up I do a better job unless of course I am doing a weave then I need to sit down
