Looked like a good day for movies at home yesterday but after not cleaning the boat after a mud trip on Saturday in the hope for some good weather Monday I decided I might as well get the boat out and give it another run before I cleaned it. With the rain we were gettting I might as well have left the boat outside to clean itself.
Anyway hooked up the boat around 11:30am and ventured out to cleveland to head out to Harrys for an arvo session in the pouring rain. Wind was pretty good and managed to get a few good drifts despite the drift direction all over the shop with the variable winds.
Mate and I got four squire all between 45 and 52cm and I got steamrolled by one big fish that had two damaging runs and took me close to my backing before I eventually started to turn him and that unforgetable "tink" sound as it cut through my 16lb leader...
Was back at the boat ramp around 4:30pm wet and cold but worth the trip out.
