Show rod finally finished

I finished this up today. I really should have waited to get some better photos in some sunlight but couldn't wait till tomorrow. This is the rod I did my first G-Urushi on. Finally fitted the handle, grips and did the wrap in font of the fore grip. The guides were bound on with cobalt blue Gudebrod with no CP used. I wanted them to bleed through for that translucent look. My son was looking at it before I finished and said, "You haven't built me a rod yet Dad." What could I do? I ordered the decal with his name on it and mounted it so now the rod is his but with the condition - I get to show it first.
