otherwise.. use braid but set the strike drag at half of what you normally would then push the lever up to strike after the fight has settled a bit, or run a really big shock leader of say 10 meters
I have a TLD20 with 15kg Platypus Lo Stretch (pink) and it does 90% of my fishing. All my trolling and floatlining as well as the odd live bait session. Never had an issue with it and have caught some great fish with it including a 32kg Cobia so it can handle a fair bit. Reasonably priced too.
Fill it with braid, then put a 50m topshot of mono on it as a shock absorber during summer when trolling. Best of both worlds. When you don't want to use the mono, just take it off. You'll get far greater capacity, still have the rubber band effect of mono for trolling and when you want to bottom bash, you won't have to grump about not being able to feel anything.

I'm no expert but it really does come down to your drag setting when using braid for trolling and it also depends on the speed at which you are trolling and also whether you are using live bait, dead bait or hard bodies. There are a lot of variables. I tend to use 3 rigs, a Tyrnos 30 with braid and 60lb mono shock leader, a Stella 20000 with braid and 80lb shock leader and then a TLD25 with 40lb mono tied to a clip on swivel. This works for me and gives me tonnes of options :-). The TLD25 rig is great for free-spooling livies down into the strike zone for cobia, marlin etc. The stretch is very useful when setting the hook on these species.

Chanlo has the best idea, I spooled up a reel in mono for trolling but now it's winter when I bottom bash it feels like trying to fish with a rubber band compared to the braid rigs.
