self righting plough anchors for reefs??

so I bought a 20lb sarca anchor for my 6.4m trailcraft and it came with a Mooloolaba pick anchor (which I hear are the ducks nuts for reef anchors?)but just wondering if you can use the sarca on the reef too??

Yes you can use the sarca on reef,

Sarca stands for Sand and reef Combination anchor,

they have a good trip system to remove them from the reef, but not always 100% guarantee on getting it back, just like any anchor you put down

I use my Sarca on reef, but as Lethal said, its a risk as is any anchor. We have always got ours up, but we have had a few nervous moments.

Generally driving over hem will trigger the release, but once or twice we have had to revert to the float & drive around it to free it.

It will be an expensive day I leave it behind!!

12 years of fishing the reef with a $10 reef pick and never had an issue. No need to over-engineer reef anchoring.
