    Tin Can Bay Trip

    Hi All,
Hope everyone has been well and catching fish.

I have not been on for a while as been depressed about not getting out in my boat due to works and sports........

    but.

I now have a trip planned to Tin Can Bay for the June long weekend.

Have not fished offshore here before and looking for any advise on the bar out how deep to start sounding, bait gathering spots.... have no marks so will need to find my own over the next few weeks.

Will be staying at Tin Can Bay tourist park..... Hoping for good weather for offshore or at least a fish in the sandy straight.

    Any info would be great.....

And i will be waching Gregs DVD a hundred time between now and the trip

    Cheers Dale

Talk to the Coast Guard next to the ramp for the lastest on the bar crossing. Just be real careful in easterly predominate swells/winds. It claims a few ever year that bar.

Thanks for the advise and info lads....

Will be speaking to the coast guard before make my first trip off shore through the wide bay bar.... very excited, but also a little nervous.

Think the many trips through the Moreton bay washing machine should help with that.

    Cheers Dale
