Even though I use the Morton Guide Placement system to measure out my guide spacings, I still need to make sure it's exactly what I want in the end, so I have to do a Static load test.
In the past I would use masking tape and rubber tubing to hold the guides in place but I've found an easier way of doing that now and though I might share and get ideas from others on their methods.
I now use short strips of rubber bands and tye a single hitch knot. It's easy to remove, easy move up and down the blank when you need to and it won't come undone even under load.
