Bearing up grades

Not long bought a Certate 2500R 10 and thought id do a bearing up grade in the spool and handle to make it 13 bearings,i found a kit on fleabay for 2 bearings for the spool to replace the bushes for just over $20 delivered and got the same size bearings 7X11x2.5 for spool and 4x7x2.5 for the handle from a RC store on fleabay for $13 for 4 spool bearing and 10 handle bearings,a very large difference in price for the same bearings,by doing this i now can up grade all my other reels with extra bearings and im sure the handle bearings will fit the line roller as well.

The main bearing upgrade I have found to be important on small Daiwa spinners, is getting some sealed SS bearings in the line roller.

Everything else is just for fun...

Suprisingly there is. Most small spinners have open bearings in the line roller area, and bearing poorer quality metal will corrode unless you are right on top of cleaning and lubing.

Putting in a set of sealed stainless means its a set and forget thing for me.

I recommend that all the bearings be stainless steel shielded because if salt water get anywhere near them especially the bearings at the handle, line roller bearing as it is always going to get wet with salt water and the main bearing that secures the pinion drive as water has attendance to get behind your spool.
You may pay extra but in the long term it will be cheaper.
There is a specialist small bearing coy in Capabala.
If you order from them you must stipulate stainless steel shielded
