    New yammies 200F

Anybody had any experience with these 4 strokes far as performance and fuel economy goes??..
Supposed ta be much lighter than previouse models etc ..Was thinking how they would fair on a 6 meter platey???..
See there's three diff models available and not being too clued up on outboards especially in the four stroke range i need to ask..
Cheers n thanks in advance ey..

Hey Volvo, I have one in my v19r and love it. I only have 18 hrs on it so far but as for economy on my boat I get 1.7 klm per litre cruising at 28 knots loaded. I did a trip the other day in some miserable weather and for 280 klm I used 198l. I'm happy with it at this point in time.

    Cheers JB

Appreciated JB n what i wanted to hear.. Only just been reading about that particular model n wanted to suss it further.. The ole 130 Black Evinrude on my Tinny has and is still serving me well but preparing for the road down the track n wanted something i could fuel up and not have to carry X-Tra fuel to head where i mostly do to fish..
Should also push my platey along at a reasonable speed without working too hard hopefully??...
Besides the quietness of the Four Strokes..Was looking at the Suzzies till i read about these new yammies...

Looked into 200f but was quoted at around 25k fitted went the suzuki DF175 20k fitted. The yammi looked like they had copied the zuk anyway

Indeed that is correct, however it is confined to a certain model range prior to around 2006, the 90/115/140 suffered an issue with a steel plug.

See also Greg P's problems with his 150/175 Zuke! On the 90-115-140s it is not just the plug. They chew out randomly on the exhaust side in the casting. Also a lot of cracked heads in the earlier models till they went to billeted aluminium.

yep, lots of problems in certain models, but then... all brands had their fair share over the years I think.
