    Day Saved by cobe

Took my young brother in law out for the day.
He hasnt fished in a few years, and that was mostly land based.
We hit a pearly mark that produced on thursday but no joy.
Trolled for toothy critters with skirts, hardbodies and gar. Zippo.
Ben hooked up this tidy cobe at hutchies at stumps and played it well on light gear.

The trip home was quite difficult with the middle of the runout tide producing breaking surf right across the inner freeman channel. It was as hairy as I have ever seen it, then contrasted with a dead flat bay!
Anyhow , one happy deckie and all safe
    Cheers

There is a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot

I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges

Up here we Use Hussar as baits for real RED FISHS (SHSIIFDER)

Well done Brendon I saw you at the ramp early me and mossy just launched just before you did as you said conditions were pretty hairy on the trip out with alot of swell and tide ripping through the channel in the morning and coming back through the surf on the way back was an experience aswell was an awsome trip back after that but bay was fantastic Just missed you at the ramp to lol you guys were going as I was coming onto the trailer haha. Was pretty quiet out there Me and Mossy only managed 4 fish for the day.

Yeah Mick , that was some pretty ordinary stuff between hutchies and combie, but the last few minutes were special all right.
We tried to sit on the one in front where the breakers were but the one behind was catching us. It was all over the place and we got a couple ont the nose as well.
We had commitments when we got home, but just after the cobe we saw birds around the place and a bit of bait on the top. If we had time I reckon a troll about 1.30 om might have done the trick.
    Cheers

    Hi Mick
we got a few nice pearlies on thursday , so tried the same mark. Plenty of fish stacked up on the sounder, but just one barely legal.
Over at hutchies we found good bait balls and quite a bit of activity , just no hookups.
So eventually pulled them in and went plan C on one of the bait marks.
    Cheers
    Brendan
