    jig jig bang

did a trip with mick today off the goldie with the plan to give the jigging a go and just to sound around a few marks we had...we headed out to the 42's n/e of the seaway where mick and Nathan had gone Thursday,i dropped a yakka down and mick floatlined a pillie down, mick got a nice snapp going 50cm and I got baited. we did a another drift for nothing so I threw on a jig..we set the drift and I let it go hit the bottom and jigged it up 25mtrs for no hit so let it go to the bottom and proceeded to jig it up again as the title says jig jig bang I was on,only a little fella goin 67 cm but still a fish....we checked out a lot of our marks with most still havin good shows...was a great day out and the jigin cherry is now poped so time to get into it a bit more...was unreal conditions off the goldie with glassed out conditions after 8

    Nice one Rosco

It won't be long now and you will be out at the patch drifting next to Perry smacking up the Kingies and Aj's on jigs.

As I said yesterday, well done mate. It was great to see you pull a fish on the first jigging attempt. Hope you enjoyed the day as it gave you a chance to get out of the skippers seat and sit back and relax. We definitely achieved our objective which was to search some new ground, check out some old marks and put a couple of fish on the dinner table. Next trip will be back to the same area armed with livies and jigs and hopefully rip into a few.

                    Cheers Mick.

Good stuff Rosco - How good did the sounder look when you pulled up? I had a few goes at jigging there on Anzac day but the little buggers didnt want to play!

Lucky I only shared my crappy marks with Mick. You're cat is bigger so I might have to show you the good ones for a trip!!

mick was saying it looked about the same as when you where out on Thursday morning,i got it as we where just going up the rise at the start of the bait fish, the marks further north looked a better show but we couldn't raise anything there...I recon the livies would of gone off on both marks....was saying to mick will tee up a trip out in my kc with you as well...was deffinatly good to play deckie for the day and leave it up to some1 else to put me on a fish... had a great day mick as usual bloody arms are a bit sore today though...need to harden up a bit I think...
mick I recon that special mark we found late would be a good overnite spot looking at the bait shows around it or like I said a ood spot to pull livies off heading wide
                          cheers rosco
