Been a long time since I have ventured east of the Whyte Island ramp and don't know what is there anymore. Last time I was there you could launch a kayak / canoe right up against the container terminal fence......
What is the the current situation for kayak launching from Fishermans Island these days?
Is there any access at all east of the passage there?

port security is pretty fierce sometimes now,you might have to use the fi boat ramp or turn left at the servo and follow to the tug base.or maybe boggy creek on the north side.access is not allowed between Caltex and the coal berth like it once was.
support your local commercial fisher,its never too late!!
