    Off Point Lookout Yesterday

Yesterday we ventured off Point Lookout hoping to find a feed of reefies.
The South Passage Bar crossing was great and flat seas offshore so things were looking good for the day.
We had a quick stop at our bait grounds and grabbed a mix of slimies, yakkas, trevally and rat tails for live baits and then headed off to our fishing grounds for the day.
Straight away we were into the fish and we had a great mixed bag of reef species coming on board and into the esky.
We also had a school of large Kingfish that kept busting us off on the reef as we could not stop them.
By the end of the session we had caught a mix of Moses Perch,Snapper,Green Jobfish,Trevally,Morwong,Tarwhine,Parrot Fish and numerous other reefies which we let go.
We also hooked a large Bronze Whaler which eventually bit through the wire trace.
Fresh boneless fillets for dinner tonight which should be awesome.

Yea it was a great mixed bag.
The snaps were hard to find though yesterday.
Plenty of small rubbish about and even the legals were only just over the limit.
