    Rock wall fun 26/4

Hey fished the rock wall just outside the Brisbane River mouth on Friday morning nice conditions and had a great day. Got a small jew, shovel nose a nice snapper and a few good bream. Caught a heap small bream and snapper too the fun never stopped. Is the fish in the net a spotted grunter? Cheers

Matttty, as Garfish says it is a barred grunter and must be 40 cm. The smaller spotted grunter that has smaller spots than the bars. They are one of the best eating fish and much sought after. It is great to see them in the bay. A thread a few months ago on this site showed a guy catch a couple of excellent size specimens.
