There is some good fish in amongst that lot and the weather looks awesome.
I always thought barramundi cod were a no take species? Not that I have caught one anyway!

They are a no take species. I home they were released unharmed.
Awesome fish bud, im new to mackay and still trying to find the elusive reds! cant wait tilll i get onto a patch, awesome looking fish they are!
Well done.
I can't believe that you posted 2 no take species on a forum. Barramundi cod and mouri wrasse are both off limits.I hope somebody deletes those pics real quick. The rest were bloody nice fish.Well done!
I would be deleteing the photos of the barra-cod and wrase as soon as possible.both have been no take for a long time now.doesnt take much to check in a tide book or something similar.bad decision and poor judgrmrnt if they were kept.
Benefit of the doubt please guys. I don't think that was the first time webby has been fishing. I'm thinking they were all released. There isn't a harder pulling fish in the ocean than a big wrasse. Nice fish mate.
settle down all you keyboard coppers!!!
Maybe people should read all the posts before commenting,
beautiful fish! erne grant rates the barra cod as "one of the few fish that eats cold just as well as hot". I have only caught 1 and was lucky it was before they became a no-take. my mum and dad thoroughly enjoyed it.
fishing's as simple as 3 P's - patience, perserverance and PLASTIC!
More nice Pics those Maori Wrasse must go hard. Those Barra Cod i've been told are the best eating. Guys i'm sure they just showing what variety is to be had in those parts fisho's like those above only well know the consequences of keeping such species. Good Stories nice pics well done manta man
