Yep.......still hate ya!!!!!!
Hey just just a quick report on our little trip yesterday.
Headed out with my mates Greg and Bear, left my place at around 3am and headed for Johnsons patch, on the way we searched and found some nice fern ground which produced a just over legal red and a Blue Maori
Headed on searching for bottom and came across another nice piece of fern ground with plenty of fish hanging around it. I sent a nice big pillie down on a double hook PE tackle rig and pulled in a nice old red bit over 9kg.
We hit Johnsons Patch and Douglas for a while, unfortunately only a Trout and a few RTE hit the deck. Checked out Haberfield Shoals and Bear hooked up a nice 8kg Chinaman that ran that much I called it for a shark, stonking fish with nasty assed teeth! Bear also snagged another Blue Maori
When we arrived at Douglas the weather was not the greatest, when we arrived there were about 5 boats out and about, they all vanished pretty quickly which had us wondering what the hell was going on
We headed back to the second red fern spot, first drift BAM Greggy hooked onto something pulling alot of string, got it boat side, YEHAA Gregs first Red and a nice fish at that weighing in again at 9kg.
Good day out, the swell/chop really flattened out on our way home, we caught a few of the regulars RTE, Tusk etc. Lots of other boats on the radio, heard from mustang5 on his way out - hope you got into some mate!

There is a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot
I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges
Up here we Use Hussar as baits for real RED FISHS (SHSIIFDER)
Some cracker reds there fellas , the old pilly strikes again hey.
Well done Mate! We went a bit wider and bagged out in a few hours on reds.
Top weekend for it!!
well done mate some nice fish . i reckon the only thing that pulls harder than a decent chinaman is a foul hooked lagre trigger fish . got a gut hooked one yesterdday that i called everything else until i got it halfway up.cheers

Jim
