    Offshore Yeppoon 19/20th April.

Headed out for a fish early Friday morning. Water was magic and got even better as the day went on.

Fishing was slow, a few reds and a few nannies here and there and some grassy sweetlip. so we ended up staying the night. Got really windy during the early evening and there were no fish biting but plenty of good sized squid.

Saturday morning was still pretty windy so we fished for a while and got a couple more nannies and a red. Then I lost a good size Spanish not happy. It took a bait off the bottom, got it all the way up and chewed the leader right at the side of the boat.

We stopped in at perforated on the way home and got another 10 or so grassy's until the sharks turned up, then it was time to head home.

    Anyway here's a few piccys.

Nice catch there!! Wow, how calm is that water!

It's good when things line up and you can get out on days like that.

    Cheers,
    Jim

Thanks, yes the water was pure glass all day, Until a storm front came over. Then it blew 20-25 for most of the night.

I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be without sponges
