Hi, did a run through the pin and fished the 200 ft patches north east of the bar, current was racing as fast as id seen, plenty of good shows but struggled to stay on the bottom, 3 big pearlies and a couple smaller were hard work to get, perservered for a while but headed in to 150ft, current much slower but so were the fish, good shows again but struggle to even get the trag to play in any numbers, 5 nice big sand flathead off the fringes were a bonus. Lots of undersize squire.

The Pin Bar itself was a bit harder to read even with small swell, i havent been through for at least 5 months, bottom of the tide yesterday going out showed small breaks across what appeared my normal route, almost straight out appeared the best but running through that way i was only in 8-10 foot so with any swell id pass on that route, Coming in i ran my old track in 8-12 foot of water so it appears to have shallowed up a bit. Id appreciate any advice or tips from anyone who has been using the Pin Bar recently. I wish id been able to do some runs through and around to check it out more but a my fishing buddy is pretty Bar shy so saved him the angst.

Cheers

Mick.
