Best Transducer For Raymarine DSM30 Sounder

Seeking some advice to help improve my performance of my RMarine DSM30 Sounder. Currently only have an "In Hull" transducer and want to upgrade to a better option. Is it better to go with the "Through Hull" Raymarine B60-20 or the "Transom" P66? I am assuming the B60-20 Through Hull transducer but wanted to get some feedback first.

I have a through hull Airmar 1Kw hooked up to my Raymarine unit and honestly would not go back to transom mounted transducers.You might be able to fine tune the tranny mounted option after who knows how many trips but then again you may not.Mine reads to WOT and I've tried to break up the picture to no avail. More than impressed so far with mine.Jim

Thank Jim. Unfortunately I can only use a 600watt with the DSM 30. I would have to upgrade to the DSM300 Sounder to then get a 1kw transducer. I will look at trying the 600watt thru-hull setup. Cheers, Dave
