The boys on "Alexander" (Pepi, Sasho, Frank and Pepi's Dad Rob) returned late last night from a 1 day trip off Double Island.
They had fished there before on the original "Alexander" which was sold two years ago together with the sounder and GPS marks.
The new boat a 7.6 meter Performance Plate Boat only had one trip offshore before to the Barwon Banks so this trip off DI was without any sounder marks.
They did extremely well for only 6 hours fishing time with 3 good red emperor (7, 9 and 13kg), a big Gold spot wrasse, and the bag limit on venus tusk fish (tuskies).
The reds were caught by Rob on a paternoster rig using mullet fillets for bait. The snood rigs and ganged hooks under a 10 ball sinker only caught tuskies.
The boys had intended to go out again today but business commitments put an end to todays trip
I tried to post pics (reduced to less than 100kb) a number of times today but Ausfish picture manager won't allow uploading.
Sasho will try to add pics in a reply to this thread.
Cheers
Barry
