CruiseCraft Explorer 685 - Boat Cover

I'm looking for a boat cover for my newly purchased preloved Explorer 685.

The boat is stored under an awning off the side of the house, so the boat is protected from weather & UV. Just looking for a cover to keep dust & cats out.

I was thinking of an 'Ocean South' Jumbo boat cover (MA 501-3). Anyone got any thoughts on these covers.

    Cheers in advance

Get a car cover from Repco, about $60 or $70 for one that fits a Rolls Royce. They are water proof and they breath too. The ones I use are the blue ones. Let me know if you want more info. A mate of mine had one of the expensive ones that lasted a couple of years and then was stuffed. If your going to replace it every few years might as well choose a better priced one IMHO

Try www.thecoverguys.com.au I've had mine for 4 yrs now and no deterioration at all.Same as you under an awning and just to keep the dust and wild life out and any rain that blows in. Mine was for a 6.5 m boat and fits the bill nicely. At the time it was $400 delivered.Ordered on a Sunday night online and delivered on the next Tuesday to my door. Jim

Hey Gazza, I have one of the Ocean South covers and I think it is good. My boat sits outside and even with all the rain we had in Jan it stayed dry inside. I am not sure how long it will last but so far so good. Had it since Sep last year.

    Gazza,
I've had my Ocean South Jumbo cover for more than 2 years. The boat lives outside. The boat has been as dry as given the recent rains we have had. No sign of deterioration except some fading of the colour. I'd recommend them.

I have the ocean south jumbo, the biggest one they make 7.6-8.2 mt, so far so good , the colour will fade in the sun but that's not a problem for me. I don't ever use it to tow, only storage. I bought it from Bias , much cheaper that E-Bay, I paid $450 about 6 months ago.

Another good site is Coverworld at Premier Circuit, Warana. Check their website for prices sizes. I ended up with the 7.47m one for our 685 explorer and couldnt be happer with the protection its gives and waterproofing.

Grady White seafarer 228G, she is 6.8 mtrs long plus outboard bracket, the cover covers it all nicely, down to and bellow the sides . For your boat you could get away with the next size down.
