    Wolf Spider Inlay

    G'day guys,

Just finished this yesterday. It's my attempt at a Wolf Spider feather inlay on a CTS 7' 1-3kg spinning blank. The customer wanted a gloss black rod with all gloss black fittings and guide binds. The only colour was to be the golden dragon scale and feather inlay. I really think he made the right choice.

    Regards
    Mark

It's been ages since anyone posted anything here. Thought everyone went on holidays :-)
The gold dragon scales really does shine. Nice job.
Is the blank the Elite Magspin series?

Thanks guys. The blank is the CTS ES700, 3-6lb, 3-8gram lure weight, x-fast. Plenty of $ but really nice blank.

    Thanks Owen and Willo.
Willo, the thread is Fish Hawk metallic gold which, IMHO, is THE best metallic thread out there. It is fine, subtle, doesn't fray, kink or knot up and handles better than any other metallic I've used. Highly recommended.

    Mark,
I've built on the same blank. Damn nice action especially for Trout. Goes well with lures around the 10g mark.
