Leslie Dam at Warwick
I'm going there with some mates next weekend. I haven't been there for a few months and was wondering if anyone can give me an update on the fishing and availability of shrimp in the dam.

No info for you, but keen to hear how you go.
Where you going the main camp ground or the bush camp up the back?
I've been keen to get to the bush camp for a look, but didn't manage it this school holidays, young bloke has had work every day of the week! If he has no work next weekend I might just do a day trip to sus it out (and put some hours in his learners log book)

Re: Leslie Dam at Warwick
We're camping at Washpool. Last month a few mates fished as far up as the bush camp area and a bit further. All they caught were a few fellas almost legal on shrimp. One fair silver as well. A young fella in the group got a 2.5 kg yella late on the saturday arvo but he is keeping it quiet where he fished. We weigh the fish as it is for club points so it was a good yella for Leslie Dam. I'll let you know how we get on.

I was there 1 month ago, with the fishing club and not a lot was caught......although a mate caught a good size cod that weekend but I only caught 5 yellowbelly all weekend and most people were complaining about the lack of fish caught, but Leslie Dam can change from one weekend to another, I have been there and both my wife and I have bagged out on Yellowbelly on the first morning.....I was using live shrimp which I took with me. Good Luck

Sorry Fellas. Nothing to report back on the weekend's fishing. We got rained out and came home. a few guys stayed 'til Sunday but only got some small jew. Shrimp were plentiful in the dam; as close as a couple of metres from the launch area at Washpool. Maybe better weather next trip.

cheers for the update. I gave it a miss as well, mate reckoned he had had an inch of rain, not compatible with my falcon on black soil paddocks!
