This cracked me up the other day at wello pt ramp. young bloke had put his boat in the water and gone and parked his car. old blokes who chinwag at the ramp each morning noticed that it had drifted away from the ramp and were having a good old laugh until young bloke comes back and retrieves boat with I-pilot remote. what a great way to get your boat away from the traffic and get a laugh at everyone having a laugh at you at the same time. might start doing it myself...

Just reminded me of a story my boat mechanic told me about the police boat that was wired up the wrong way. Reverse was forward and vice versa haha. He had to do a quick trip to remedy the situation. You would like to think it was done on purpose.

Would've been fun watching them at the ramp.

lol might do that next time all the dickheads are fishing on the jetty and you cant get around...just push the boat out and drive it around to the trailer with the remote

Might be a good laugh watching some of the non boating people that gather on the pontoons to see their reaction when this boat guides itself into the pontoon with nobody on it, especially if you had a mike and speaker set up to give them a verbal as its approaching........

Has anyone tested the distance of the ipilot remote, and what it does if the distance is exceeded?

Sounds like us last week. My daughter stood with boat at boat ramp on one good foot (her other injured foot was strapped up and trying to keep it out the water), rough water so boat was moving around. I then came back to boat and stood on rusty fishing hook that had washed up on the ramp and the old crows still sitting on the fence cackling but never offered to help! Very Un-Australian... I hope they got enjoyment from our predicament. What goes around comes around.
