Brisbane river bass
Hi all,
I have never done any fresh water fishing before but I have heard a lot lately about bass fishing in the rivers & what a great sport fish they are, after a bit of searching on the net & watching a few youtube videos I am very keen to give it a go but I'm not sure where to start, I know people may not be to keen to give up their favorite locations but any suggestions you have would be much appreciated, also any advice on lures, I have heard that they pick up on vibrations in the water so soft plastics are not very effective is this true?
Thanks,
Leigh

I'm actually curious of any VAGUE locations that I might be able to bank walk while throwing lures for bass upriver of Brissie?

Re: Brisbane river bass
Back in the early '70s I caught a few Bass up around the Linville area. I've always been meaning to go & try it again with the modern gear I now have but have never got around to it. Just be aware of private property as quite often the fences are not necessarily the property boundaries. Also a few long, brown, fanged thingies but I suppose that goes with bank fishing, hey?
Good Luck
Steve
