    snapper crazys

we left manlly at 5pm and headed to the close in shore islands.... we found the first hour slow then all mayhem broke loose with the next 3 drifts resulting in 3 double hookups....... in amoungst this hot bite we had the most amazing hit i have ever seen on a dead stick rod ...... we got spooled loosing close to 120m of line in less than 20 seconds leaving us completely speechless..... and to hear the snap as the boat could not keep up chasing the fish... and amazingly the hit was in pretty shallow water..... we think maybe a gt..... anways no more dead stick rod for the rest of the day... see pic below.... We had well and truely bagged out by 830(our easyest bagout ever). After that we let some nice nice fish go including 3 over 50 cm. The hot bite did not stop all morning and we would have boated at lest 25 keeper squire today..... the fish we took home were between 45 and 60cm.... but again the highlight of the day was this run with fully locked drag taking all the line and the boat not keeping up.... We were using plastics all day. home by 11:30
    Cheers

Nice haul of snapps, well done.
    Cheers, Doug.
Love to use Preditek or Kingfisher lures or Viva Lures when I am out fishing.

Amazing stuff - certainly the best fishing I have had in a long time when it happened to me at peel. Toss them a pillie next time, might slow the action down enough to catch your breath between bites lol
