    Beating the crowds

went out this morning for an explore in the yak to see if the flatty's had returned. Launched at 4am around bottom of the tide. Once again threw everything I had in the tackle box at them and did not see a flat one I did snag a nice little trev on the new "Jigwobbler" lure I picked up in USA. That provided some fun. Then kept hunting in the usual spots but only managed a javelin fish. Nice sunrise. Off the water by 10am when the power squadron turned up

May give it a shot in the yak again tomorrow in a new spot

    Good work mate.

It has been a bit slow for me in the Passage of late, so I set out at gentlemans hour [7am] in the Maroochy for a change. no luck getting a lizard, but a few bream and a Big Eye Trevor for lunch.

Same for me funchy, i hit my usual spots today but was a bit late getting on the water as i finished work at 1 am, didnt get a touch today , so many boats and so many crab pots to try and find a path between, the absence of flathead of any size is puzzling..

Felt a bit like that for me, initially on Tuesday, but as the tide turned to run out, everything seemed to fall into place and I found five keeper lizards. Water is still pretty dirty in the shallows though - keep at it - good luck.
